Leaders demonstrate their integrity when they show up on time to meetings and other events, do what they say they will do, honor people who are not present (they don’t gossip), and keep their promises to everyone no matter what their role or status in the school community, among other things.

While Todd Smith uses other terms in his “To Earn Respect You Must Show Respect” blog post, many of his suggestions emphasize the importance of integrity and authenticity.
